Venus

You're standing in space - how does it feel?

Venus has a toxic atmosphere filled with carbon dioxide and is perpetually shrouded in thick, yellowish clouds of sulfuric acid. Surface temperatures here are hot enough to melt lead.

Venus' theme comprises of a sound that is extremely compressed to give the feeling of sitting in a stifling, hot and hostile environment, a sound that evokes claustrophobia and ruthlessness.

The ORBIT soundscape is made up of 9 individual sounds, each representing a planet in our solar system. Using surround sound, the planets 'orbit' the room in a timescale 1.5 million times faster than they do beyond the atmosphere.

One earth year is equal to 2.746474211 minutes in ORBIT; that means the earth sound will orbit you about 22 times if you spend 15 minutes here.

Can you hear Earth? Can you see Jupiter? Wait long enough and you might even see a meteor shower.
